Starry Night Halos RGBA+Chasing+Switchback Sequential Halos Wiring Diagram
HOW-TO WIRE UP YOUR HALOS
Each Halo Kit comes with 2 - 8 halos, depending on which halo kit you purchase, a Plug and Play Harness, Switchback Drivers, and an RF or Bluetooth controller.
The Plug and Play Harness is a metal voltage regulator with 3 sets of wire harnesses coming off of it. One harness contains two wires for 12V positive and 12V negative. The Red wire is 12V positive and the black wire is 12V negative. The second wire harness contains connections for the Switchback Drivers to be plugged into. The shorter connector coming out of the Plug and Play Harness is where the RF receiver or Bluetooth Controller will be plugged into. The final wire harness contains 2 wires, Red and Green, which control the turn signal functions. The red wire will control the turn signal function for the red heat shrink connectors. The green wire will control the turn signal function for the green heat shrink connectors.
The Switchback Drivers is a black metal box with Starry Night Halos' logo on top. Each set of halos will have a specific Switchback Driver that controls it. For example, you CANNOT run a 90mm halo on a 70mm halo's driver. The 70mm halo will need to be hooked into the 70mm halo's Switchback Driver.
Each halo comes with wire that has male connectors at the end. These connectors will plug into the female connectors of the Plug and Play Harness.
If you want to connect two different sized RGBA+Chasing+Switchback Halos to function together, simply use the Plug and Play Harness and connect each different sized halos Switchback Drivers into the Plug and Play Harness and then connect the correct sized halos to their Switchback Drivers.
Mount all controllers inside of your vehicle. Failure to do so will void the warranty on your halos and can cause issues with your controller.
Do not touch the LEDs on your Starry Night Halos. Touching the halo while they are on can cause Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and will damage the LEDs on the board.
All of Starry Night Halos are 5v and must be powered through the Plug and Play Harness to avoid damaging the halos.
Halos are intended to run while your headlights or fog lights are off. Running your headlights or fog lights with your halos will shorten the life of the halos significantly.
